If you're using a Mac, I really recommend alt-tab https://alt-tab-macos.netlify.app/. I love cmd+tab on a mac to switch between applications, but I was missing a feature to switch between windows of the same application. I love these interfaces and use them wherever I can. On MacOS I use Alfred for launching applications, killing processes, controlling music playback, searching the web and my filesystem, swapping file tabs, and tons more.
