Airtable is a powerful cloud-based software that combines spreadsheets and databases, offering real-time collaboration and customizable features for efficient task management1.
The UI is so clean, it makes it desirable to use. Reporting is very easy to understand - without any of the complexity that comes with creating reports (like in Jira). I like that it has an opinion - itβs built around agileβs best practices. Easy to reprioritize in between sprints, and the sprint board is easy to understand so itβs great for first time agile teams.
My team has always worked adhoc on everything without properly using a project management tool. Once we adapted our workflow to Tara, it worked wonders for our organization. Tasks are easily grouped under umbrellas (Requirements, i.e. Epics in Jira) and everything is so visual that it's never painful to actually manage your tasks. Sprints make it easy to see what you need to get done this week, and we run daily standups using that view.
Highly recommend Tara to smaller teams that just need to focus on getting stuff done.
Based on our record, Airtable seems to be a lot more popular than Tara AI. While we know about 129 links to Airtable, we've tracked only 4 mentions of Tara AI. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
For the backend, I opted for Airtable as a database. It's a simple, no-code solution that I've used before. It's not the most powerful database, but it's perfect for a project like this. I could easily add, edit, and delete records, and it has an embeddable form functionality that I used for user submissions. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
Airtable.com β Looks like a spreadsheet, but it's a relational database unlimited bases, 1,200 rows/base, and 1,000 API requests/month. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
The ?XXXXX part of the URL identifies the type of interface page it is. Just copy that and then your formula is just "https://airtable.com.../...?XXXXXX=" & RECORD_ID() I'm not sure it works in every type of interface page (where you've started from a blank page for example). There has to be something to identify the record viewed from the page, if you see what I mean. Source: 10 months ago
So I started building something on airtable.com that would allow me to easily track updates for each batch. What in your experience would make sense to track that I may be missing? Source: 11 months ago
For character sheets, timelines and having records of chapters and scenes, I really really love Airtable. I have some examples here. Source: 12 months ago
I have not used it personally, but Tara [0] would be another (free) alternative to Jira. [0] https://tara.ai. - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
Tara AI β Simple sprint management service. Free plan has unlimited tasks, sprints and workspaces, with no user limits. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
Great advice overall, but I would centralize this list in an app dashboard, e.g., Tara.ai, Azure DevOps, Jira, etc., and automate the outbound updates to the C-suite douche patrol. Source: about 2 years ago
