Makes sense. criterionchannel.com is pretty hard to pass up at $10/month for thousands of titles (for me anyway). I do keep around some discs purely because they look better than streaming but I don't think streaming is the choke point there for the most part. If I was really into newer films / big productions I would probably upgrade everything to 4K and start collecting. -

I recently had a lot of trouble accessing hulu on my laptop - I would be signed in and I could access my account settings, but hulu would automatically redirect to hulu.com/welcome. For some reason, I couldn't find any fixes online, or they would be on the hulu technical support page, which wanted me to create a whole profile just to access the site. -

So it definitely happens on the HBO Max app from the play store, but does NOT happen when I stream from play.hbomax.com in fullscreen...weird stuff...but also I don't remember ever seeing anything about a 480p limit from streaming apps, and the HBO Max app is definitely higher resolution than that, it looks exactly the same from the app to the website...thanks for the tip though, I guess I'll just use the websites... -
