Makes sense. criterionchannel.com is pretty hard to pass up at $10/month for thousands of titles (for me anyway). I do keep around some discs purely because they look better than streaming but I don't think streaming is the choke point there for the most part. If I was really into newer films / big productions I would probably upgrade everything to 4K and start collecting. Source: about 1 year ago
