I used a combination of mail-tester.com and mxtoolbox.com to make sure I had all my ducks in a row, then just waited. The problem I had was that so many systems that were using the relay, and these were literally thousands of customer appliances that were using our relay to mail to their inboxes, and if they set motion detection on "super sensitive," we didn't have a good way to rate limit in time before we got labeled a spammer *just because we were sending so many a minute*. Plus, a lot of services share their data, so if we got blacklisted by Barracuda edge systems, we'd be on lists for all the MS Office stuff (outlook.com, office365.com, hotmail.com, etc).
