Observations: I want my OLD 'recommendations' to be women who are actively trying to meet someone for a committed relationship and who accept my characteristics including the aforementioned age, height, and location. Currently it seems that only match.com provides information about how active their users are and a limited set of what they're looking for. Four years ago, when I started this adventure, PoF and OKCupid provided that information. But all three of the sites I just mentioned are run by the Match Group and have changed their User Interfaces several times, almost always providing less information about what individual woman are looking for. Without that information, my efforts are contacting are more 'shots in the dark' and my response rate has dropped to half of what it was. I tried eharmony. But their model where their 'experts' do the picking just sux.

Meetup

What I'm looking for: a mutually committed LTR. LT could be taken as either long term or life time. I admit I'm a male pig. Though physical attraction is only one item on my 'check list', if I don't find a woman to be physically attractive, I won't date her. I 'hang out' with plenty of women platonically via meetup.com. I consider them to be my friends and some of them have said as much about me. But they are not 'dating material'. I wouldn't pollute the meetup well by hitting on women at a meetup event anyway.
