  (I was also using a VPN routing to Cambodia, it may have made no difference but it sure does when using agoda.com, which I recommend. • YSK some websites track your browsing history and will increase the cost of items or flights after repeat viewings. If you want to prevent this, browse incognito, delete your cookies or maybe use a VPN

  Agoda.com does this shamelessly, I was trying to book a room and it was the "last room" it then got sold out after I clicked around comparing hotels. Naturally agoda then offers me a more expensive room since the other one is "sold out". Source: over 1 year ago

  For example, I'm currently in Singapore at the moment while typing this. While I can't book Marina Bay Sands since hotels.com doesn't list them, it practically gave me a P20,000++ "saving" as I'm getting a free night over at Ritz-Carlton as I'm staying for 4N with the entire booking cheaper than booking direct or cross-shopping agoda.com.
