I've been trying for a bit now to get Video Duplicate Finder from GitHub to run without success. Source: 5 months ago
Ooh this looks nice. And might replace at least 2 tools. For video comparison I currently use Video Duplicate Finder which has a few features this doesn't. Under settings it lets you check Ignore White Pixels and Ignore Black Pixels which helps lower false positives on videos with lots of white/black backgrounds or keyframes. There's an option to compare horizontally flipped videos, and a few more that are a bit... Source: 11 months ago
Here's the link: https://github.com/0x90d/videoduplicatefinder. The directions to install seem minimal. Please explain for someone who isn't familiar with terminal. Source: 11 months ago
I have used this with great success https://github.com/0x90d/videoduplicatefinder. Source: about 1 year ago
I've used Video Duplicate Finder for this before. (Yes, it works on images, supposedly). It's pretty buggy but it does the job. Source: about 1 year ago
I use Video Duplicate Finder in a docker container on my media server. It shows you at a glance which version of a file has the longest duration, highest frame rate, bitrate, resolution, file size, etc. Source: about 1 year ago
For videos though I used something different. https://github.com/0x90d/videoduplicatefinder - its not quite as polished as some software but the results more than make up for it. Source: about 1 year ago
SimilarImages and Video Duplicate Finder both work by creating thumbnails of videos and comparing them. VDP is a bit more modern than SI. Source: over 1 year ago
I'm looking for a duplicate video finder app for macOS. I mean a real app with real content and metadata comparison (eg. Can identify 2 same movies, even with different resolution or codec). For now, I've tried: - https://github.com/qarmin/czkawka => does not work on M1 - https://github.com/0x90d/videoduplicatefinder => works great, but on Windows - Gemini 2 => this app is a joke, useless. The main ones I've already tried are czkawka, dupeGuru, SimilarImages, and videoduplicatefinder, but none of them do what I'm looking for. I want to be able to find if gif files match the contents of other video formats like mp4, mov, webm, etc. Does anybody know a program that's capable of doing this? I'm on Windows, by the way. If you're looking for actual duplicated files, fdupes will work. If you're looking for visually similar, but not actual dups you can try: https://github.com/0x90d/videoduplicatefinder it works for images too. Source: over 1 year ago
Its great software, thanks! I was using Video Duplicate Finter but it takes too long to find all identical videos. Can you recommend something for images? Source: about 2 years ago
I checked that https://github.com/0x90d/videoduplicatefinder worked fine for me(1 months ago), but for now latest version(3.0.x) crashes due bug in GUI library. Source: over 2 years ago
I use videoduplicatefinder but I'll give this one a try. It seems like it's a little dicey for m1 macs tho. Source: over 2 years ago
Here is the app https://github.com/0x90d/videoduplicatefinder Could someone teach this noob how to install it? I would appreciate it. Source: over 2 years ago
I'm using VideoDuplicateFInder version 2 which is open source and works fine, but it doesn't detect all duplicate videos. Version 3 is not ready yet so I don't use it. Source: over 2 years ago
Video Duplicate Finder: Before I used antitwin to search for duplicate videos but lately it did not work only in the videos for the rest of the files, yes, that's why I switch to Video Duplicate Finder which is a really powerful open source tool, to find all duplicates of videos, it really does it and is fast in its search. Lol, that's a lot of games. I've managed to collect about 150-200. But of course most of them never get any play or install. I think I got perhaps 5 installed now and only play 1. I also like testing new things but now days it's mostly when a need arises, for example I had to find a peace of software that would scan a video folder for duplicate files. Not just by size, but resolutions. Found a nice one that does... Source: almost 3 years ago
To dedup video, I found after years of search one software that worked good enough to be useful: Video Duplicate Finder by 0x90d. It's open source and very easy to use with a GUI or in command-line. It will build a database of screenshots at different timepoints in each video and compare them. It works extremely well, it can find duplicates of different size, video quality (bitrate, resolution) and even different... Source: almost 3 years ago
In any case, a quick Google search gave me this, I haven't tried it so you tell me if it works; https://github.com/0x90d/videoduplicatefinder. Source: almost 3 years ago
