Joplin comes second but is difficult to setup, lacks versioning, trash bin, auto-backup, and slow react native mobile app that doesn't sync in the background.   If you don't want that, consider working with Notion, Craft or Coda. Personally, I use UpNote on my Android phone, which syncs with my Mac. You can copy/paste into Scrivener without loosing formatting. You may only need to adjust font type. Source: 12 months ago

  Imho you should use your computer as your second brain; not just a note-app or something similar. You need a system for: • storage • collecting stuff in Inboxes and processing the contents • taking action on things. I use the Finder of my Mac (PC: Explorer) for organised storage of my stuff.
