A boutique developer agency specializing in high-end brands found themselves faced with the challenge of developing apps and APIs while collaborating with numerous third-party stakeholders. This prompted the agency to search for a solution that could provide observability and transparency, enabling them to accelerate development and streamline their shipping process. It was out of this pressing need, coupled with real-life use cases, that the initial version of Treblle came into existence.
The whole product is built using the Laravel framework. In the background, we use AWS, S3, and Single Store.
Iโve spent so much time wroting documentation, helping app developers start using my APIs. Now i just make a request and Treblle does the REST :)

I run an API observability platform Treblle and we process around 44M API calls per month at the moment. In the article I go over how we improved our log processing from 550m to only 94ms by moving away from a monolithic architecture to micro-services. Using a combination of AWS services (S3, SQS, Lambda, API Gateway) and a new database called SingleStore. Source: about 4 years ago

Because of this we started developing Treblle. To solve our own problems. We simply could not find a solution that would allow us to do what we wanted and needed(please correct me if iโm wrong). There were a plethora of tools that log code based errors or tools that do automated periodical monitoring but nothing that would log every request, generate documentation, provide analytics and insights and similar. Just like pikknz I would recommend PHP - specifically Laravel. It has a beautiful abstraction layer for creating API responses called Resources and I fell in love when I saw them. More info here: https://laravel.com/docs/8.x/eloquent-resources In general you can go with any language you want. One thing I would recommend adding in for sure is some sort of a monitoring tool. It sounds weird especially if we factor in COVID-19 but we've done that so we can focus on Treblle. 110% focus. We were working on Treblle whenever we had time in our development company and it got to a point where I felt we as a team had to make a choice. And so we did. We chose Treblle and I'm glad we did. Best decision we've made. Source: almost 5 years ago
