Look at the listings on IMDB and themoviedb.org. - Source: Reddit / 17 days ago
I decided to try adding Paw Patrol: Sea Patrol to themoviedb.org as a TV show: https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/220682-paw-patrol-sea-patrol. - Source: Reddit / about 1 month ago
IIRC it's a mix of The Movie Database (TMDB), The TV database (TVDB) and IMDB (despite their names, both TMDB and TVDB index movies and TV shows). Adding the shows/movies to TMDB or TVDB should make it to Plex's aggregated database in a couple days. - Source: Reddit / about 2 months ago
This is the answer, but it will likely take months for themoviedb.org to respond and fix the issue. I still have an open report from November. They must have a very small team. - Source: Reddit / 2 months ago
I received the "box" set for Xmas (using the term loosely, what horrible packaging!) and I'm having trouble matching episodes up. I use the normal MakeMKV - Handbrake - TinyMediaManager method, but I can't get TMM to recognize the show. It looks like it defaults to themoviedb.org and it finds two shows that aren't relevant (see photo). - Source: Reddit / 3 months ago
Use the show name as it appears at themoviedb.org or thetvdb.com. - Source: Reddit / 3 months ago
You are welcome. TPDb, The Movie Database, and Moviemania are great sources for textless posters. - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago
The script has to be run in a terminal in linux. If I understand correctly what you mean by "ordinary users", for most users to access themoviedb.org with a browser is perfectly ok. - Source: Reddit / 5 months ago
Movie needs need to match that of themoviedb.org entries. - Source: Reddit / 5 months ago
I need to retrieve some information from "https://themoviedb.org" for the mediacenter Kodi. A movie has to be named according to the title on themoviedb in order to be scraped by Kodi. - Source: Reddit / 5 months ago
Yep, I just checked themoviedb.org and it's all messed up. It won't let you delete episodes or reassign them to a different season so I just reported the issue. - Source: Reddit / 5 months ago
What specific mini-series? Plex doesn't use IMDb for it's main data, but The Movie Database and TheTVDB. If either of those list it as a show/mini-series, you can tell Plex where to pull the show data via Edit show > Advanced > Episode ordering (assuming you're using the Plex TV Series agent). - Source: Reddit / 5 months ago
My app as it stands now pulls data from themoviedb.org primarily from a search view that I've created as well as a discovery view, and writes them to an entity called Movie. - Source: Reddit / 5 months ago
Sometimes it's the source, other times it's the metadata. This happens a lot with Netflix shows when they split seasons into parts. Part 1 gets labeled as season one then part 2 gets mislabeled as season 2. You can check themoviedb.org to see what the metadata says, then google the show to see if it's right. One series, I had to manually download an entire season into my RD. I know some older shows you have to try... - Source: Reddit / 6 months ago
I've been learning html/css/js for some time and decided it's time for a bigger project. As I didn't really have any idea I started cloning a website, themoviedb.org, but I am stuck. I don't understand how they calculate the color used in the background gradient on a movie's page. I thought is the average color of that background, but it's not. I wrote a js script to loop over the pixels and calculate the average... - Source: Reddit / 6 months ago
Also, if your are using the lastest Plex agent, it's using the http://themoviedb.org instead of thetvdb website. - Source: Reddit / 7 months ago
IMDb is far superior. With that said, I understand why Letterboxd uses themoviedb.org instead. IMDb isn't free for them to use. TMDb is. Fair enough! - Source: Reddit / 7 months ago
It seems to work if I add them to the "Movies" tab and scrape them using themoviedb.org. This is not ideal however since I lose any sequencing from the DVD set. - Source: Reddit / 7 months ago
If you figure out which movie it is, check the translations from the Overview dropdown menu. If you find the translated title, you'll see which language it is. Shouldn't matter, but I thought I'll tell you anyway. Generally, themoviedb.org should be your go-to place for any movie or TV show related infos, as well as the guideline for naming your files, along with the Plex Support Articles:. - Source: Reddit / 7 months ago
According to thetbdb.com and themoviedb.org the Australian Version of drag race is actually called "RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under". - Source: Reddit / 8 months ago
If you're using the Plex TV Series agent (Manage Library > Edit > Advanced > Agent), then episode order will default to TMDB, but can be changed to TVDB either for the entire library (Manage Library > Edit > Advanced > Episode ordering), or can be overridden per-show via the similar Edit show > Advanced > Episode ordering. - Source: Reddit / 8 months ago
