I mean, yes, that's true. But there's some stuff that is significantly lacking here. alacritty, being GPU-accelerated, can be very laggy on low-end devices, and the input latency of alacritty is pretty bad compared to other X alternatives. I'm also not entirely sure what you mean by termite being "Wayland-native", given that their project has been obsoleted by alacritty. What is really missing is a ubiquitous... But the termite developer recently rage quit because of how GNOME was planning on using the next generation of VTE. I can't blame Stinger for what he did, more so since my goal with Perfect ALARM is to eschew GNOME and KDE/Qt as much as possible even though that's still not completely possible. I tried a bunch of terminals and ended up switching from urxvt to termite https://github.com/thestinger/termite a few years back (mainly for it's better handling for refreshing certain curses style output).
