I know what you mean. Unsure if you‘re still looking for a therapist or not, but if you’d like another resource, you could check out an online therapy provider. There are a number of them out there, but a more prominent one would be something like talkspace.com. Source: about 1 year ago
I realize that the article may not help with solving the issue(s) causing the desire to self harm, so therapy may be a good idea as well. I don’t know how familiar you are with therapy, but a site like talkspace.com may be a good place to start and see if therapy works for you. Source: over 1 year ago
If you’re interested in starting therapy (if you’re already going, continue) for the anxiety, something like talkspace.com might be a place to start in your search. Source: over 1 year ago
Cerebral.com, betterhelp.com, & talkspace.com can also be helpful. I do want to caution that text therapy has not been shown to be as effective as face to face therapy. Teletherapy, where you are having a real time conversation, has been shown to be as effective as in-person therapy. It can also be cheaper. Example, my rate is $85. Most in-person therapists around me charge $120-$150. Source: over 1 year ago
855-382-5433 is a number you can call to get counseling in your area and also some online counseling places like talkspace.com and betterhelp.com can get you counseling with no waiting (I've been through counseling and I know sometimes its good not to wait). Please let me know later how you're going my friend and I think you'll do well because you're a hard worker :-). Source: almost 2 years ago

Some other options-- I know it might be a little pricey, but there are online therapy platforms that match you with a therapist. I found one on betterhelp.com that I worked with for a few months this past fall/winter. There are a number of other places- talkspace.com, etc...etc. Source: about 2 years ago

Look into your employer's resources, they may have mental health resources available for staff. If not, talk to your PCP and ask them to recommend someone to talk to. I am also using some therapists in talkspace.com. But they do not really give active advises and only follow up your message to confirm your ideas. No very helpful. Source: over 2 years ago
My husband has been using talkspace.com for telehealth psych appointments. He doesnt have health insurance and they seemed to be the best option for finding help with no health insurance. He still sees a Doctor who is local to Ohio but just via video meetings only. He actually likes the doctor he talks to now A LOT better than the guy he was seeing before he lost his health insurance (a doctor at the Psych BC... Source: almost 3 years ago
i'd like to put in a plug for the service SmartCounseling.com. I was a talkspace.com user until my therapist left and I took a break. In coming back, I found a lot of turmoil on talkspace between the company and the therapists. Someone recommended SmartCounseling and I really like it. Good plans that include video chats and my new therapist is great. Source: almost 3 years ago

Hi, I've battled anxiety and depression my whole life. Last year I tried talkspace.com and found a therapist I liked. I liked using talkspace because if I didn't like a therapist, I could easily try another and it's all virtual. They have different plans for what you need but it's mostly text chat or you can send audio/video messages. Once a month or more there is a 'facetime' meeting. I really got a lot out...
