  • Would it work if I assigned a player as "DJ" for atmospheric music for virtual sessions?
I also have a Foundry adventure with Syrinscape sounds built in and it's surprisingly good. Not sure if it's worth the stand-alone pricing, but it strikes the right balance of interesting without being too intrusive. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Question: Does your playgroup ever have anything on in the background while playing?
For me I use https://syrinscape.com/ when I run a rpg. Board games gets music that either matches the theme of the game or the speed of the game. And I knew a guy that would have weekly poker nights with the guys and would put on something subtly distracting on the TV that would be playing behind him. But I wouldn't suggest that if you want to keep the friends. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Your best DM tools?
Ambient Music and Sound: https://syrinscape.com/ Another big name. These guys make an amazing soundboard tool for D&D. It can get pricey at ~£10 a month, but I have found it worth it! Works online too. Source: over 1 year ago
  • How to get music tracks for games
Syrinscape now has an option to play from your browser and share the link with your players. It's free for 22 soundtracks or subscription for 900+. Source: over 1 year ago

For ambience I wholeheartedly recommend Syrinscape. It's not free, but has an amazing collection of dynamic soundscapes where you can adjust every aspect on the fly and also save custom mixes. They also offer a 30 trial with all features unlocked. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Need a wedding gift for our forever DM, any ideas ?
A subscription to Syrinscape perhaps. https://syrinscape.com/. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Soundboard for DM'ing
Https://syrinscape.com/ (I've used this for about 3 years and found it met my needs a lot of the time. It is not free, but I find the cost worth the time it saves me. It can be fiddly and there is a bit of a learning curve but I have sound effects and music and nat sounds and whatnot literally at my finger tips.). Source: almost 2 years ago
  • "First Time DM" and Other Short Questions Megathread
Or Syrinscape if you are O.K. With paying a subscription. https://syrinscape.com/. Source: about 2 years ago

  • Music in Foundry?
If you have a bit of money to spare, I can recommend syrinscape online to you. Woks like a charm and has tons of sound and music. No sound issues, no latency or other problems. You can even cusomize you own soundboards. Source: about 2 years ago

  • Starfinder assets, tokens, SFX, etc
For sound, you can always use Syranscape. They have a Scifi pack that works really well. And it was made with Starfinder in mind too. here's the linky: https://syrinscape.com/. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Is there a proper player that's good to use for audio coverage of GM-ing sessions?
Syrinscape might be what you're looking for, depending on what exactly your campaign looks like and how much you want to customize it. It lets you pick musical tracks and different ambience tracks to play simultaneously. The library is built for an RPG audience. I'm not sure if you can add clips from your private library. • Masks of Nyarlathotep Advice
I use RodeoOwlbear, a free VTT that is very simplistic, but does the job, Discord and my newest favorite product Syrinscape: https://syrinscape.com/ The sound effects are amazing and add so much immersion to the game. Use the online version though, trying to get it to operate through Discord is a nightmare. Source: over 2 years ago
  • [OC] When you work with IT and AV, it tends to bleed over into your other hobbies.
My DM side setup. It started with just the laptop, then my Surface GO as a secondary monitor for running initiative, and a tablet for party quick view from DnDBeyond, and finally, my old Surface Pro 4 on the right side, for easy access to my music and sound effects (Syrinscape).
