No subscription, one-time fee for both desktop and mobile apps. I'm tempted to move on to "infinite canvas" freeform notetaking like Muse, but I don't want to pay a subscription fee. I haven't used it in about 4 years, but I tried many of them back then and the one I liked the most was SimpleMind. They have a free version, but I paid like $20-25 for a pro version that allowed a lot more customization and syncing between devices. You might not need that. Simplemind is one of my favorites but as you see, the advanced features require an upgrade. I don't know of anything that converts a note into a node. If I want to do that I have to copy the note's contents into a new node. - Source: Reddit / about 2 years ago
