  The best way to learn matlab is to just try doing stuff. You can use the debug tools to step through code one line at a time to figure out whats going on. And then just use the help function or the website documentation to learn what any command you want to use does and how to use it. I'm often going back and forth between matlab and the mathworks.com help center for matlab to figure out which commands to use. Source: almost 3 years ago
