  • Please someone save me from file sharing hell to windows
I didn't exactly use any 'tutorial'. Assumming you can already SSH to the target machine, you just need to install both these pkgs then reboot to 1TR Recovery Mode and choosing Reduced Security and choose to enable Kernel Extension and then reboot again goto Security & Privacy and Allow the extension, and that's it you can now use it. • How do I fix this?
Weird. Where did you download (lat/new)est MacFuse from? https://osxfuse.github.io/ I hope! Source: 10 months ago
  • Ask HN: What are some good resources for learning about low level disk/file IO?
I lead a project that included shipping a filesystem driver and a virtual disk on Windows. What I did to learn the lower-level APIs, and perform initial testing on the driver, was write a "mirror" drive. The user-mode code pointed to a folder on disk, the driver made a virtual disk drive, and all reads and writes in the virtual disk drive went to the mirror folder. On Windows, you can implement something like that... - Source: Hacker News / 11 months ago
  • Possible to use VeraCrypt without OSXFuse
"FUSE-T is a kext-less implementation of FUSE for macOS that uses NFS v4 local server instead of a kernel extension. The main motivation for this project is to replace macfuse (https://osxfuse.github.io/) that implements its own kext to make fuse work. With each version of macOS it's getting harder and harder to load kernel extensions. Apple strongly discourages it and, for this reason, software distributions... Source: 12 months ago
  • mount harddisk with different formats
Macos doesn’t support many Linux file system formats. You’ll have to use something like macFUSE https://osxfuse.github.io/. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Is there any way to read ext4 on macOS?
Take a look at this ---> https://osxfuse.github.io. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Struggling with Mac
It's not true that external drives need to be formatted exFAT, unless you plan to share them between systems. You can format them using an Apple FS, or you can even use NTFS if you want to with another open source app called FUSE. Source: about 1 year ago
  • External Hard Drive suddenly Windows Formatted?
You should typically have no issue reading from the NTFS disk with a Mac but writing to is a separate matter. The driver you were using may not be compatible with Ventura. Here are a couple paid options: Paragon NTFS, along with NTFS for Mac. There are also a couple open-source options with limited support but should be otherwise functional: NTFS-3G or macFUSE. • HPE StoreOpen for Windows
Hello 12345sixsixsix, I am enclosing details. 1. Administrator access is required to run StoreOpen Software with Windows 10 & 11. 2. Currently not supported with HPE Path Failover drivers. 3. Mac OSX 10.12 through 11.5 4. StoreOpen Software requires ‘FUSE for MacOS’ 3.5.4 and ICU 50.1.2. ‘FUSE for MacOS’ can be downloaded from https://osxfuse.github.io. 5. • Apple silicon docker img for ext4 usb volume, possible?
If you just need to mount EXT4 on a Mac then MacFuse might work for you (no need for Docker) - https://osxfuse.github.io. Source: over 1 year ago
  • PCloud Virtual drive is not connecting to my computer (Apple M1 Pro | 13.0.1 (22A400) Ventura)
In the meantime, you could try reinstalling our latest M1 build. We can't guarantee that it will work, as it wasn't designed with Ventura in mind, but some users have reported success. 1. Install the Mac M1 version Https://www.pcloud.com/how-to-install-pcloud-drive-mac-os-m1.html?download=macm1 2. Install macFUSE (https://osxfuse.github.io). 3. Reboot the Mac. 4. Go to System Settings > Confidentiality and... Source: over 1 year ago

  • How long does it take to unpack on a game on steam deck? Does internal memory limit how fast it’ll unpack?
Oooh man. This is the real answer to your problem then. Lol Network sharing should be pretty easy to setup just follow the instructions on this link. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mchlp1657/mac And then type the address you got into the file browser on the deck the exact same way they show it for a windows machine. Alternatively if you have a SD reader you can plug in. The Micro SD will be... Source: over 1 year ago
  • What are the reasons that many embedded development tools are only available on Windows? (historical reasons, technical reasons, etc.)
The solution there was to continue to run Windows on my old Intel MBP15 machine, and use Apple Screen Share VNC service to present that screen on one of the monitors hosted by the Apple silicon Macbook. Strangely enough, MacOS does not provide a native way to cd to a remote machine in a command shell. That problem is solved by running MacFUSE on the Intel Mac to share a volume, which I mount from the Apple silicon... Source: over 1 year ago
  • How do I fix this error message when I input the correct password to my vault? When I put in the incorrect one this doesn't happen.
Which version are you using? Do you have MacFUSE also installed? Source: over 1 year ago

  • How I manage files as a macOS user (first day using the deck)
Now on the mac you need to install macfuse https://osxfuse.github.io. This will require you to open system preferences > security and give the okay for the tool to install some extensions. And it will require a reboot. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Doubts about usability of a USB encrypted with Veracrypt.
You'll need to install MacFuse/OSXFuse and Veracrypt on the Mac to be able to open Veracrypt volumes. Source: over 2 years ago
  • How I set up a RaspberryPi to share my files and media
So far I am most happy with using the curious SSHFS, which allows you to mount directories across networks as an extension to the SSH protocol. It needs no extra components on server side, and I have found it performant and stable. On client side it needs some extra components, depending on your operating system. Unfortunately, on macOS, this requires installing the closed source macFUSE, it used to be open... - Source: dev.to / over 2 years ago
  • Anyone else experiencing issues with finder integration on MacOS Monterey?
I tried installing fuse, then reinstalling keybase using 4.2.1 and 4.2.3. Also tried playing with symbolic links in /Library/Filesystems/kbfuse.fs/Contents/Extensions. Nothing optimistic to say. Source: over 2 years ago
