This looks fantastic. I will definitely give it a spin. I've been tracking what I call "computational scratchpad" apps for a while now but haven't found one that fits my environment/workflow yet. Maybe Heynote will. Here are some others that I've looked at: * https://soulver.app Granddad of them all, Mac-only, proprietary, expensive * https://numi.app Mac-only, proprietary, semi-expensive. I have resorted to use a variation: numi application for Mac gives some of the step visualization & freedom with different level of complexity. (Different, since there are variables and such and you can also end up just keying in the whole calculation in one string). Source: over 2 years ago

For another one, I use Numi for macos often. It's native, clean looking, can handle units, and maintains it's buffer between launches. I love it as a virtual back of an envelope to noodle math on. https://numi.app/. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago

I've been trying out the Numi calculator app, and I cannot figure out the difference between the free and paid versions. Is it worth buying a license? I don't know because I literally can't find anything on the website other than the option to buy it. Is the license just to support the developer, or does it provide more features or unlocked limitations? Anyone out there know? Source: over 2 years ago

Numi - a powerful but lightweight code-like calculator. You can declare variables and do unit conversions which is useful for so many things. I’ve used it to determine precise coordinates for motion attributes when I’m doing split screen stuff. Source: over 3 years ago
I haven't seen Soulver, but it looks very similiar to the one I use on Mac, called Numi. On Android, I use an app called CalcNote which works in a similiar way. Neither does graphing, but you can do common formulas and functions like cos/sin/rad. I use numi for simple calculations, and find it fantastic when I'm trying to figure out project stuff.
