Check InterPals.net or mylanguageexchange.com for a penpal. They speak to you English, you speak to them in French, that kind of thing. Source: about 1 year ago
Websites such as My Language Exchange (https://mylanguageexchange.com/) exist to match language-learners with native speakers. You can chat on the site, or set up a video chat using a service such as Skype. Source: about 1 year ago
You can try My Language Exchange or Students of the World, and there’s also ShareAmi where you can be paired up with a French-speaking senior who needs a buddy, but I don’t know if they have a penpal option or whether it’s all video-based. Source: over 1 year ago
There's a website called mylanguageexchange.com and I am sure others where you can meet up online for video chats or in person in the same city. You put in your native language and what you are learning so you would watch with native Spanish speaking learning English. Source: over 1 year ago
I've used Language Exchange for many years, we usually communicate over whatsapp. Source: over 1 year ago
I found someone (my ex) who was very patient with me so the practice happened in the context of normal conversation. So I'd say finding someone willing to be patient is helpful. I met her on mylanguageexchange.com. Source: almost 2 years ago
I've had good luck with mylanguageexchange.com. I've met some really pleasant language partners there. Source: almost 2 years ago
I've had good luck with mylanguageexchange.com. You can send a free "hi" to someone whose profile you match with or you can pay $25/year and have more options for communication. Source: almost 2 years ago
Like flinters17 said, if you live in a somewhat populated area you can look on sites like meetup, conversation exchange or mylanguageexchange and filter by location. Quite a few Japanese people in their mid-late twenties do a working holiday, so if you live in the UK, Ireland, Australia or New Zealand, you can look for areas where Japanese people congregate and look for events there. Whenever I'm back home in... Source: almost 2 years ago
HelloTalk, Tandem, Conversation exchange, My language exchange, Discord. There are also quite a few events online events available on Meetup. Source: almost 2 years ago
I have had really good luck with mylanguageexchange.com. I have 5 friends in other countries now. We alternate half an hour English and a half hour in Spanish. It's fun because they want to speak English as much as you want to speak Spanish. Source: about 2 years ago
My memory isn't what it used to be, but I think I'm slowly improving by trying a little of everything. I take a couple of courses I paid for, try to listen to podcasts at or a little above my level (National Geographic has a great one on Curiosidades de Historia, Dreaming Spanish, Spanish Language Coach, 1001 Reasons to Learn Spanish, Hola Spanish, etc.), occasionally watch a TV show that looks good in Spanish but... d. Language exchange/tandem: e.g. https://mylanguageexchange.com/ & https://www.tandem.net/ Spoken Spanish is not my focus, and I don't expect to be able to travel before 2023 anyways. There is a Spanish community in a larger city nearby so real life tandem might be an option when we are allowed to meet in person again. Source: over 2 years ago
Mylanguageexchange.com is pretty good for finding native conversation partners. Source: over 2 years ago
Https://mylanguageexchange.com/ go on this website and look for people who are of the same gender (you can specify other demographics too like age and location) and speak your target language. Source: over 2 years ago
Go to websites like mylanguageexchange.com and find a native speaker who'd like to learn your langage, of is eager to teach others their langage. Source: over 2 years ago
If you are looking for talks on the spur of the moment, you might have better luck with the Lingbe app. I've had pretty decent success there, with everybody I've talked to actually interested at some level in language learning. One negative is that if you want to talk for free, you will need to also talk (about half the time) to people in your native language to get points. So this is fine, but what is suboptimal... There are better language exchange programs, like https://mylanguageexchange.com/ and you can also find some great advice on how to do language exchanges here : https://www.google.com/search?q=how+to+do+a+language+exchange&oq=how+to+do+a+language+ex&aqs=chrome.0.0i512j69i57j0i22i30l8.4525j0j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8. I also use mylanguageexchange.com but that cost me $6 a month. However, only signed up for a month and met enough people to not have to subscribe again. Source: almost 3 years ago
That being said, talent isn't everything. I'm not gonna invalidate what you said but it is very much practise practise practise, and use it or lose it. Find a language partner you can practise with. I used to use mylanguageexchange.com to find language-learning partners, and they don't care if you're a n00b or not. Source: almost 3 years ago
You should report them to the app, because this behaviour frustrates me, I am on such apps and if people start presuming you are going to flirt because of your gender and only guys on there are looking to date or whatever else, then it defeats the whole purpose of the app. I like mylanguageexchange.com its a really ancient looking site but its rare you get people like this on here majority are very serious.
