I am head over heels in love with Spanish. I've been learning it for a little over 5 years now, but I have never spoken to a native speaker. Just haven't been able to overcome the anxiety of initiating the conversation. Any advice?

Meetup Italki My Language Exchange
  1. 1
Helps groups of people with shared interests plan events and facilitates off line group meetings in various localities around the world.
Spanish meetups often have native speakers attending, and expect to be helping learners. See if there is one near you at meetup.com. If the meetup is at a bar, a couple of beers might help you lose your inhibitions. Not medical advice, your results may vary :).

  3. Language Learning Community for Safe Effective Practice
I have had really good luck with mylanguageexchange.com. I have 5 friends in other countries now. We alternate half an hour English and a half hour in Spanish. It's fun because they want to speak English as much as you want to speak Spanish.
