I copy pasted the mods I downloaded from a modpack on curseforge to the mods folder in tlauncher. I also downloaded the fabric mod loader from fabricmc.net instead of tlauncher. It works, thanks. Source: 9 months ago
Litematica is a client side mod, which means you can use them in servers and single player alike. These mods usually don't mess up existing vanilla mods and are usually easy to update if it is based on the Fabric Mod Loader. Source: 9 months ago
Try using the mod with Fabric instead of forge. Source: about 1 year ago
You can download forge here (I use fabric mainly it's another mod loader) You can download mods safely on curseforge here or on modrinth here. Source: about 1 year ago
Hey there! There isn't really much risk in downloading mods as long as you're getting them from the right sources. First of all there are two main modloaders, Forge and Fabric. Each modloader can only load mods made specifically for that modloader, so no mixing Forge and Fabric mods. As for downloading mods, Curseforge and Modrinth are trusted websites with moderators that will approve mods only when they are... Source: about 1 year ago

If you're using the vanilla or a similar launcher, redownload and run the installer from https://fabricmc.net to get the latest version of Fabric. Source: over 1 year ago
The Fabric project can be used for creating custom multiplayer server experiences that don't require a client to download mods (although you can write client mods too!). Check out Modrinth for mod examples that meet this criterea, or Nucleoid - a Minecraft minigames server that runs entirely on Fabric and is 100% open source. Source: over 1 year ago

Get fabric loader instead and load the game with it, or try to find the forge version of the mods you want to use. Source: over 1 year ago
Thank you for the info! I'm watching a video on it and its saying that for sodium you need fabric aswell. For fabric, this is the website they linked "http://fabricmc.net/". Is that the correct website for it? Source: over 1 year ago
I went to fabricmc.net and downloaded it from there. Source: over 1 year ago
Litematica is a client-side mod that requires using the Fabric modloader. "Client-side" basically means it only affects you, and does not require a modded server to use. I'm not up for guiding someone in how to install and use a modloader and mods today, but you can get Fabric information and download it from here: https://fabricmc.net/ . Source: over 1 year ago
Forge is the original mod loader for Minecraft. Fabric is a new mod loader that runs its own code and runs its own mods. Iris and Sodium are for the Fabric mod loader and will not work on the Forge mod loader. If you want to install Iris and Sodium then you have to install the Fabric launcher from the fabric website. Then you have to install fabric api, mod menu, and cloth config depending on version. Should just... Source: over 1 year ago
Fabric is an awesome mod that streamlines how the game is run to boost your FPS. It improved my gameplay so much, even with shaders, it runs smoother than the vanilla game. I highly recommend it, and here's the install instructions for anyone wanting to give it a try. Source: over 1 year ago

Another thing you could do is get Fabric which is a mod api and then a mod called minihud. Minihud has a bunch of QOL features but one of them allows you to make spheres of different sizes out of blue translucent blocks, you could use this as a layout for your dome. Here is fabric: https://fabricmc.net/ Here is Minihud: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/minihud. Source: over 1 year ago
You need to use one of the mod loaders for mods to work with Minecraft, either Forge or Fabric, depending on the mods you're wanting to play with. Source: over 1 year ago
When Fabric, another modloader/API project, came onto the scene in 2018, it had to make its own mappings, which it called Yarn. It made Yarn freely available (CC-0), and effected a 'cleanroom policy' - no MCP names were to be mentioned in any Fabric community spaces, in case a Yarn contributor was 'tainted' by the strictly-licensed MCP mappings. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
