  • My mental health has sky rocketed down a cliff these past couple of days, feel pretty lost with life
Sorry to hear this and good on you for posting and reaching out.. There has been some great advice already about counselling and journalling. Also, I recommend meditation (something I am trying to do more of, as my head is busy). This app is great - https://meditofoundation.org/medito-app. Source: 10 months ago
  • Am I overthinking or am I just missing the point?
I would also suggest using a timer app like Medito which is completely free and try to start off with 5 to 10 minutes sessions as many days a week as you can. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Please, how can I use my anger in a more productive way. It’s ruining my life.
There's a great (totally free) app, medito, which has lessons that I think are some of the best introduction to getting meaningful results from meditation. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Another morning prayer call (Azaan)
Use the prayer time as mindfulness meditation. Here's a free one. Source: over 1 year ago

  • Anyone have tips for stress-induced asthma?
For meditation, you can use apps like Insight Timer (where you can set a timer with various meditation sounds or follow both free and paid guided meditations), Medito (free), or Prana Breath (free and paid - android only). There are many others as well. Source: over 1 year ago
  • PSA: If you’re moving to a new school
Try https://meditofoundation.org/medito-app for sleep stories - It was recommended by my NHS therapist. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Ask HN: What are some mentally healthy apps to have?
I love Medito[1], it's a free app to learn and practice meditation. It offers a ton of packs ranging from first guided meditations to beginners to very focused topics (i.e. sleep, manage pain...) from research collaboration with universities. Ah, and it's available for Mac and Android. 1. https://meditofoundation.org/medito-app. - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
  • LPT: Keep an eye on OTHER news the next few days - most of the bad news being released will get buried beneath the bigger world news, which makes NOW a great time for people & businesses to release the things they want as few eyeballs on as possible.
And if you think Headspace or Calm are expensive, consider trying Medito. It’s free, and it has a wide selection of different kinds of guided meditations. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Saturday APPreciation (May 29 2021) - Your weekly app recommendation/request thread!
Medito is a free meditation app: https://meditofoundation.org/medito-app. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Are meditation apps getting worse?
Medito is free, ad-free, and was the only guided meditation app that wasn't annoying. I like the ethos of the company behind it also. Insight Timer is a more 'social-media'y type app, but the timer alone is what I use mostly and is highly customizable. I don't need more than these two. Good luck and take care. • [Need Advice] Any tips on just getting yourself to stop being a sad little b*tch and just get shit done? Thanks.
So it would help if you started a practice of daily meditation. I'm not a woo-hoo kind of person, but I really have noticed a difference in my emotions and my ability to be present in the moment. I'd recommend a completely free app called Medito. It has sooo many different meditation types and features. Source: about 3 years ago
