The hardware is from josh.ai, it's a beta test thing for now. - Source: Reddit / 5 days ago
If you have more money than time, look into josh.ai. - Source: Reddit / 20 days ago
A voice-activated home automation system that works similar to Alexa but has no advertising has been available for over six years. That is the Josh.ai system and I bet there aren't too many owners that are unhappy with that system. And there are still a lot of things that Alexa can do that josh.ai can't do. - Source: Reddit / 25 days ago
Home has C4 and Crestron home also with josh.ai on top of it. - Source: Reddit / 10 months ago
I don't use any Google products and would probably avoid Amazon Echo too. For voice I might consider josh.ai but I might try Mycroft initially. - Source: Reddit / about 1 year ago
Video distribution.......that's going to up the budget for sure but I do think you are there for it. look into AVPro for video distribution. I'm seeing a lot of people go that route even when using crestron or savant. AVPro just came out or is coming out with one that talks directly with josh.ai and obviously they can work with c4 or any major control system. - Source: Reddit / about 1 year ago
But it really depends on how 'smart' you want your home. how much you want to integrate. You can do a simple but in depth integration job with C4. if you don't have too much you can go with josh.ai and stay in their sandbox. use the products it interacts with and use that as your automation system. their app works very smooth and you can also go in and make changes on your own so you don't need an integrator... - Source: Reddit / about 1 year ago
Crap my bad. I am doing too much stupid shopping this AM and replied too fast. I'm using josh.ai. cool part is they do all the coding and the system pretty much allows you to program and set up on your own. I don't need hire a programmer like I had to do with my other c4 system. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
I suppose at scale josh.ai would be able to offer their services for cheaper. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
I didn't know josh.ai stuff existed. THere's lot of stuff out there any not everyone knows everything! Thanks for the info! - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
I did look into josh.ai and control4 but those might be a bit out of reach unless I really phase it out they do look pretty awesome. - Source: Reddit / almost 2 years ago
I run my entire house two ways. through josh.ai and also through control4. you can do all the stuff I do at home through other methods but due to me being a lazy piece of shit, I'd rather pay a little more on the automation side to make things work with very little problems. I don't code or do anything like that. - Source: Reddit / almost 2 years ago
