I also checked those cameras and couldn't get myself into buying any, they jsut had poor reviews overall and the support for M1 chips wasn't clear (I think some updates on logitech firmware fixed the issues). I've totally not tried this, but .. You could try an alternative to Reincubate Camo that works under Linux on your chromebook.. https://alternativeto.net/software/camo/ indicates Iriun Webcam & DroidCam look the most solid. I'm thinking you may also need to use the linux version of Zoom or run Meet from a browser within linux as well though just incase the camera is only detected inside the linux vm/container.
