  • How did you get started in your accounting career?
A lot of schools also post their jobs on higheredjobs.com. there's also governmentjobs.com that has quite a lot of city/county/state job postings. Source: 10 months ago
  • Picking a master's - what do you think?
Maybe spend some time on academiccareers.com or higheredjobs.com or similar sites and get a feel for what the job market is for an MS/MA in each of those disciplines. Source: 11 months ago
  • Best place to find education jobs?
Inside Higher Ed The Chronicle of Higher Educationhigheredjobs.com. Source: 12 months ago
  • Any 30+ year olds transitioning?
I hear that. higheredjobs.com is a great resource for jobs, both tech a not, in the higher ed world. I started as an online learning helpdesk staffer, went to an ID (instructional designer/faculty trainer), and then went back to the online k-12 world. I don't think I'd have made it in brick and mortar, tbh. Source: almost 1 year ago
  • Best sites to find an ID job
What others said. I only look at LinkedIn nowadays but when I worked in higher education I would look at higheredjobs.com. I got many interviews/offers from that site. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Looking to pivot careers - any suggestions?
I would suggest higheredjobs.com as well, for universities. Other non-profit job listings at idealist.org , foundationlist.org , philanthropy.com/jobs , foundationcenter.org, nonprofit-jobs.org, workforgood.org but I work for a university so I'm most familiar with higheredjobs. • Job change options for Higher Education administrators tired of getting paid so little?
Check out higheredjobs.com. Some roles pay more than others either based on the type of institution and/or region. I’m in CT and our state schools have excellent salaries and benefits. But Massachusetts doesn’t, so again, it just depends. Also, think about switching to a different industry using your transferable skills. Source: about 1 year ago
  • How to get that first online adjunct job?
What are the best job boards? I've browsed the higheredjobs.com forum and it seems pretty limited as for as English and the humanities go. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Talk me in (or out) of Moving Here
I mean, I work at SNHU and if there is an online adjunct job that makes sense with your academic background you can use me as a referral. A lot of adjuncts are working at multiple online universities. Have you looked on higheredjobs.com ? Source: over 1 year ago
  • How to land an entry office position in Cleveland?
Https://higheredjobs.com not local but seems to have every university job on it and you can search by regions and set alerts. Highly recommend. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Remote Admissions Positions
Higheredjobs.com is always good, NACAC's job board is decent, and you'll always find things on the affiliate ACAC job boards - you might be looking for a California-based job, so the Western ACAC job board will have a posting for things in California. Source: over 1 year ago
  • At university job with good benefits, but lower pay/promotion opportunities. Is it a bad idea to leave for the private sector with fears of a recession?
You should definitely be applying for full time remote jobs at other large schools. Sys Admins make WAYYY WAYYYY more than 55k at the school I work at and are also full remote. You need to look at big repositories for university jobs like higheredjobs.com, https://jobs.chronicle.com/, or look at specific schools you want to work for. Also look at conferences specific to higher education which post jobs like... Source: over 1 year ago
  • Life after TEFL?
I'm coming to TEFL for a break in my career in student affairs/higher ed. I very much recommend you look into that. Case management, academic advising, admissions/recruitment, even something like a financial aid counselor or a residence life coordinator - your MA TESOL would look great, and they'd be able to have you teach courses also. Check out higheredjobs.com. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Best way to become an Accounting Professor?
From there, it depends what you want teach. If you head to higheredjobs.com and lob a resume at every opening, you will eventually land a job as an adjunct (remote), or at a local community college. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Any American Professors (USA) here ever leave USA and move to another country?
The typical places sometimes have foreign listings, higheredjobs.com, chronicle, etc. The good news is that a good start might be to attend some conferences in target places! I know its tough duty but someone has to do it. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Overemployed in the field of Cybersecurity?
There are some colleges/universities that have embraced remote work. Check out higheredjobs.com and look for the online/remote link. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Beware of Employer Tuition Programs
I'm not sure I could find a higher paying job in academics with my experience and degree. A quick browse of higheredjobs.com shows me that Academic Advising positions at other schools either pay the same or less. I'm fine if I ultimately end up leaving for a different career field but then that begs the question why did I bother with an MBA in the first place? Having to do all that school work with a family was... Source: almost 2 years ago

  • Anti Work ? Anti Life?
It can be very difficult to convince people that your skills are transferable. Have you tried looking for corporate training jobs? Also, maybe there are some jobs in Software Implementation, SaaS, Instructional Design, or Project Management. Look on higheredjobs.com at their remote/online postings. There are a lot of university advisor type positions. Source: about 2 years ago
