I started as an online learning helpdesk staffer, went to an ID (instructional designer/faculty trainer), and then went back to the online k-12 world.   Check out higheredjobs.com. Some roles pay more than others either based on the type of institution and/or region. I’m in CT and our state schools have excellent salaries and benefits.   You should definitely be applying for full time remote jobs at other large schools. Sys Admins make WAYYY WAYYYY more than 55k at the school I work at and are also full remote. You need to look at big repositories for university jobs like higheredjobs.com, https://jobs.chronicle.com/, or look at specific schools you want to work for. Case management, academic advising, admissions/recruitment, even something like a financial aid counselor or a residence life coordinator - your MA TESOL would look great, and they'd be able to have you teach courses also.   I'm not sure I could find a higher paying job in academics with my experience and degree. I'm fine if I ultimately end up leaving for a different career field but then that begs the question why did I bother with an MBA in the first place?   It can be very difficult to convince people that your skills are transferable. Have you tried looking for corporate training jobs? Also, maybe there are some jobs in Software Implementation, SaaS, Instructional Design, or Project Management. Look on higheredjobs.com at their remote/online postings.
