  • Java web framework wihout annotations ?
Maybe take a look at Helidon SE from Oracl (you find a short tutorial at https://www.baeldung.com/microservices-oracle-helidon). Source: 11 months ago
  • Javalin v5 has been released! (web micro-framework)
If you’ve used NodeJS & ExpessJS, in Java world, Vert.x, Helidon and Javalin should be familiar. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Is it worth to learn Spring Boot ?
If you’ve used ExpressJS, you could try Vert.x and Helidon. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Average Oracle move
You would think that if the site of one of the biggest programming languages is an abomination for both consumers and developers, then the one for a rest framework that the same company develops on the side should be even worse, but that's not the case as we are talking about oracle. How is the helidon website absolutely stunning on both mobile and desktop? It's still developed by oracle, just how is it possible... Source: almost 2 years ago
  • resources to learn java J2EE technologies
The specification playground is called microprofile, where new specifications are rapidly prototyped. Some products are built around only that platform like quarkus, helidon or Micronaut. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Helidon 2.4.1 released!
I can tell you why I've used Helidon - it gives you two APIs, take your pick. MP is the annotation based Microprofile API (just like Quarkus.) SE is the POJO, reactive, fluent API. I found using SE very easy to integrate with an existing code base. Head over to https://helidon.io/ and scroll down to the red background area on the main page. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Java Virtual Threads Preview
There's Helidon: https://helidon.io/ as well from Oracle. Though at the moment, I'm using Javalin. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
  • Helidon 2.4.0 released!
Helidon has a new Website!!!! Check it up: https://helidon.io Read about it here: Https://medium.com/helidon/we-have-a-new-website-3b9d9d4d2142. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Helidon 2.3.3 released!
A brave cool opensource set of libraries to write microservices! Check http://helidon.io :). Source: over 2 years ago
  • Opinionated take on Java Microservices Frameworks
Helidon - "Lightweight. Fast. Crafted for Microservices.". This comes in two flavours: SE - Lean reactive first framework, Microprofile (MP) - Implements the Microprofile specification for standards based API,. - Source: dev.to / about 3 years ago
  • Learning Java Eco System, from C# / .Net background
Helidon is another very interesting project that supports two programming models — Helidon SE focuses on very hands on micro framework style of composition where you can control basically any aspect of your service and everything you do, you have to explicitly spell out. It’s like a box of puzzle pieces you can freely mix and match to make your app do what you want. Helidon MP is a bit more higher level (MP stands... Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Backend developer be like
I might have agreed with you some years ago, but Oracle built a very good library called Helidon that does micro services very well. I advice you check it out. Source: about 3 years ago
  • Not only Spring Boot: a review of alternatives
It is not quite correct that Helidon wouldn't contain a solution for dependency injection. There are two flavors of the framework: SE (without DI) and MP (with DI). Helidon MP (Micro Profile) is comparable to something like Quarkus or Spring Boot and contains a bundle of frameworks working together. Source: about 3 years ago
