I don't feel like I've learned a whole lot at this job after a year and a half. Then I started thinking about what I worked on when I first got this job, and how I wrote a unit test for a function that makes an http request to another service, and I didn't know anything about mock servers, so I made the test send a request to google.com then check for a 200 http response lol. I guess I have learned some since then. - Source: Reddit / 2 days ago

At work, I block (via ACL) any and all traffic to port 53 (TCP and UDP) except for the specified DNS IP that I set. Can they change it on their client? Yes. Can they resolve google.com or w/e website they want to? No, therefore the client can't get out. I also have additional measures but DNS filtering is not and should not be the only method. - Source: Reddit / 2 days ago
With this configuration, only 10.0.0.0 traffics and all IPv6 traffics are being routed, which is what I expected, but the problem is there's no IPv4 internet access at all. I can access my workplace's local network, but not public IPs. For example, I cannot ping google.com or 8.8.8.8. But if I add these IP to AllowedIPs, they do work. - Source: Reddit / 2 days ago
I switched to Firefox recently from Chrome/Edge. My main issue is that pretty much all Google sites (google.com, youtube, gmail, etc) often get stuck when loading for the first time. If I try to search something in the url bar, the tab just says "Loading" and nothing will happen for a minute. Opening more tabs and trying there will just make all of them hang. If I wait a minute then retry searching in the url bar,... - Source: Reddit / 2 days ago

I had US Mobile's Verizon towers plan but since they are de-prioritized I had a horrible experience. It was fine until the power went out in my area and everyone was using their mobile data. When that happened it literally took 5 minutes to load google.com on US Mobile being de-prioritized after all of the Verizon/Spectrum customers. - Source: Reddit / 3 days ago
