Hey. A good source for free sound effects and sounds in general is the site freesound.org. Jsyk you will need a looot of sounds for this animation. Slashes, wooshes and hit sounds are some of the sounds you will need. Try typing the sound you think you need and maybe you will find something interesting. Source: 5 months ago
There are several free orchestral sample libraries, but usually for some garbage player like Kontakt, and sax often doesn't get included, so if you need free and VST-less, then hunting on sites like freesound.org and similar might be your best bet. Source: 5 months ago
I'm about to make my first youtube content so I would like to know how to freesound.org safely for my youtube videos. Do I have to obtain permission from the owner? If so, how can I ensure that I can legally use their sounds for my videos? Source: 5 months ago
Try https://freesound.org. They have a lot of public domain (CC0) and attribution-only (CC-BY 4.0) sounds. Splice still seems to be a good choice too. I'm not sure why you'd want an EDM-specific sample site; EDM isn't restricted to a particular kind of sample. Source: 5 months ago
I'm currently creating an FPS project in Unity and have come to the point where I want to add in audio for all actions in the game (i.e. Reloading weapons, stowing, pulling weapons out, shooting, walking around, etc). I've looked at sites like freesound.org and opengameart but there just isn't the surplus that I'm looking for. How should I go about creating or finding audio to implement into my game? Are there... It even integrates with the freesound.org library so there's a massive pool of stuff to work with. Source: 5 months ago

That was a much more fun assignment than the app inventor bs. I chose to go with the podcast intro because Lucas said "podcast intro" and that's where my ideas went. The only issue I encountered was that my recordings would save as .M4As so I had to use a sketchy website to convert those to mp3s. For sound effects, I created a recording of my cat and my roommate's cat meowing and used that as their... Source: 6 months ago
'It may be a bit on the longer side to load due to the scene's size, but it's worth the wait! The textures are sourced from Allegorithmic and Textures.com. For the normal and roughness maps, NormalMap-Online was utilized. To optimize the image textures without losing quality, Optimizilla was invaluable. And to cap it all off, immersive sounds were added from Freesound.org.'. Source: 8 months ago
The only site that I know of is (excluding searching free copyright sounds from yt of course): this one. Source: 8 months ago
• Websites like OpenGameArt.org, Freesound.org and Textures.com can be useful. Source: 10 months ago
I used "Baby Crying Slowly" and "Moaning of the Dead" to make this, both sourced from freesound.org. Source: 10 months ago
There are free sounds at freesound.org you just have to register, but it's free. Source: 10 months ago
It's already legal to take a public domain image and sell it without even editing it. The "Mona Lisa on a t-shirt". Go to https://opengameart.org/ or https://freesound.org/ and you'll find plenty of free content which has no copyright, if you put it in your game then other people can rip it out of your game. That would be the same situation as AI art. I'm fine with living in such a world because no one would... Source: 10 months ago
A few weeks ago I asked for your advice on how to get started making music. Well I made some music. used koala for samples and loops, freesound.org for what I couldnt produce myself and put it all together with some mixing and virtual composing in garageband (that was the most accessable for me) its not strictly ambient, its probably just noise to most people, but I had fun making it. Thanks for your help. Heres... Source: 10 months ago
Website One & This guy is especially worth checking. Check the license for each track but I think it's all creative commons public domain so go ahead. Source: 10 months ago
As far as sound effects sources, I get all my stuff from freesound.org It's got a wide selection of effects and background sounds, and while I've occasionally been unable to find one particular sound I need, I've never been unable to complete an audio because I couldn't find enough of the right (or similar) sound effects there. Freesound.org will save you, my friend. Source: 10 months ago
The phone mic is only mono, I don't recommend it. Get a used zoom recorder or similar, this is worlds better, ideally binaural microphones is another world of immersion. As others recommended already, reaper is a good start. If you wanna go modular (steep learning curve) vcv rack is free solution. You can of course start with using free samples e.g. From freesound.org there are tons of field recordings just to try... Source: 10 months ago
