I cannot remember which 'comedy duo' that was on the sHitFM drivetime show it was but I could 100% predict what whacky doo bit of news from around the world they were going to bring up. Everyday. You see, I too am somewhat of a slackass that scrolls fark.com during the day. Source: 5 months ago

I am looking for the alternative. I've been going back to fark.com a lot lately in fact. Source: 11 months ago
I was on fark.com before reddit : ) But it's not nearly the same. I'm assuming this whole thing is setting up for the IPO, which is why they won't back down. I have a feeling they knew there would be a revolt and have plans to handle it. And ya, I 100% agree they will force subs to reopen with or without moderation. Will be interesting to see what happens to like /r/videos going down indefinitely. I think... Source: 11 months ago
First there was Slashdot then then there was Fark and then Dig and then came along Reddit. It offered a unique platform for people of like interest to come together and discuss topics related to that interest. Source: 11 months ago

Leave reddit? I heard of this hot new platform - Digg.com Anyone try it? Also, fark.com might be something to check out. Source: 11 months ago
Oh it looks like https://fark.com is still around and as ugly as ever. Source: 11 months ago
Something will come along. When I was ~14-15, it was fark.com, then digg, then reddit. There hasn't been a major competitor for reddit - yet. I started using reddit in mid 2008 (my earliest account is from 2011, towards the beginning of its "golden era" imo), and around 2014/15 it began to lose its "small site charm", and since then its been a steady (and increasing in pace) decline. I figure when it goes... Source: 11 months ago
Most of the alternatives I’ve seen are tiny and/or overrun by far-right users. The only site that seems remotely workable to me is http://fark.com and even that feels like a stretch. Source: 11 months ago

Fark.com has a daily thread that iirc lists some stats from both sides. Source: about 1 year ago
I once read a long, long post on fark.com that was a game development insider and his post changed my eyes about game development cycles, why games are still $60 and not $120 'on the shelf' and the human limitations to work with tools more advanced than the pool of talent and deadlines too short to learn how to properly flesh out the power of the tools that they build these games with. --- With that being said :...
