Without needing a VPN server, Enclave builds one-to-one connections that cloak applications with invisible network access gates which only materialise when certain trust standards are met, protecting against discovery, targeting and attack. Forget about configuring firewalls, VPNs, managing IPs, subnets, ACLs, NSGs, VPCs, NAT, routing, VLANs, certificates & secret keys, subnets, VPNs and ACLs — Enclave just works.

Full disclosure: I work for one of the companies building such tooling (enclave.io). So while this is a bit of a shameless plug for https://enclave.io, as an architecture and technology it's a a perfect fit to mature your beyond OpenVPN while maintaining feature parity like network level access, MFA and AAD integration. There's a lot of marketing noise in the VPN replacement and ZTNA space atm. We (https://enclave.io) have made a small microsite to try and help shine a light on the different architectures, vendors and options available, let us know if it's helpful. Source: over 1 year ago
This comment is also a bit of a plug for https://enclave.io (sorry!) but getting easy, private access to internal systems on AWS is a perfect fit, especially as a start-up. Enclave is one of several new tools that build a different kind of tunnel - an overlay network directly between hosts, not the traditional hub and spoke VPNs (like OpenVPN). If you're looking for a list of ZTNA vendors, we (https://enclave.io) put a vendor directory together based on architecture rather than marketing https://zerotrustnetworkaccess.info/ which you mind find useful. Source: about 2 years ago
Damn it, great spot - thank you https://enclave.io * (that's pretty funny :p). Source: about 2 years ago
We (https://enclave.io) are working on building a list of products in the ZTNA you might find useful, grouped together by architecture https://zerotrustnetworkaccess.info/. Source: about 2 years ago
You can probably add https://enclave.io to that list; creates VPN networks based on tags + policy. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
If you want easy private access without needing to opening ports or worry about static ip addresses, you could do worse than to consider one of the newer alternatives - https://enclave.io, https://tailscale.com or https://zerotier.com. Source: over 2 years ago
Founder @ https://enclave.io here. Tailscale, ZeroTier and Enclave all share a similar architecture- they build an overlay network which carries whatever traffic you choose to put on top. Source: over 2 years ago
If you don't mind leaning on a SaaS, try https://enclave.io/ or https://tailscale.com/. Source: over 2 years ago
Me too. So much so I turned it into a start-up https://enclave.io. Source: over 2 years ago
All connectivity is via https://enclave.io so I've got my own little no-fuss private overlay network for personal devices and never have to think about remote access. The firewalls all stay closed and I get static IP addresses and DNS for free, without needing to run a DNS server. (Disclosure: I'm a co-founder @ enclave). Source: over 2 years ago
One option is to use a VPN established as a peer-to-peer overlay network with the vendor. This has the advantage of not needing to run a VPN server, and not needing to open the firewall as the link is established using only outbound traffic on both sides. Have you considered https://enclave.io, https://zerotier.com or https://tailscale.com? Source: over 2 years ago
If you're able to put something like a raspberry pi on the network alongside the CCTV camera you could then use something like https://enclave.io, https://zerotier.com or https://tailscale.com for remote access which would let you ignore the IP. Source: over 2 years ago
Have you also looked at https://enclave.io and https://tailscale.com? Source: over 2 years ago
As a few other posters have already noted, if you want the functionality of a VPN, but not the headache of having to set anything up or run a VPN server you could explore https://enclave.io, https://tailscale.com or https://www.zerotier.com/. Source: over 2 years ago
