I sent in an urgent support message to MP to ask to either quickly add support for embed.ly or revert me back to the old mattertag system until they get this figured out. MP support has always been excellent in the past, so I expect the issue to get resolved, one way or another. Probably, embed.ly 's provider list is outdated. They use oembed standard, https://oembed.com/ . So to embed my own site on mediu, I follow this standard and ask embed.ly for register. Btw, on twitter, you have to follow player card guideline https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/twitter-for-websites/cards/overview/player-card . ALl you have to do is to set meta tag as twitter tells. Source: over 1 year ago
