I would try zocdoc.com as a starting point. If you have health insurance, you can put in what company it's with so they will pull up providers in your network. If not, there's an option for that too. You can search based on the kind of doctor you need to see, and you can schedule the appointment through the website. Source: almost 1 year ago
Thank you to everyone for your comments. I just want to share that I found a psychiatrist on zocdoc.com that specializes in ADHD and works through the company Talkiatry. He is based locally to where I live. He's been practicing for 30-some years, has excellent reviews, and would be the one to actually treat me if I went with him. I understand any prescription medication in either case would require an in-person... Source: about 1 year ago
You can also use appointment sites like zocdoc.com. That site will take your insurance plan information and give you a list of local doctors who accept your coverage.3 They even allow you to make appointments for them online. Source: about 1 year ago
I had good luck with zocdoc.com (no I don't work for them). Found a PCP appointment within two weeks. I initially tried a friend's doctor and they were like a 4 month wait. Source: about 1 year ago
Try zocdoc.com They allow you to enter in: the kind of provider you're looking for, location, and type of insurance you have (if you have it.) It's great because they show you availability without having to call the office. Hope this helps! Source: almost 2 years ago
Hi friend! I work at a walk-in medical clinic (not a family doctors office), and lots of the doctors can prescribe antidepressants with a slightly longer (30 minute) appointment. So what I would recommend you do is call around to walk-in clinics or go to medimap.ca where you can see wait times of walk-in clinics in your area and call walk-in clinics from there. Medimaps is a great site to show nearby walk-in clinics and their wait times. I would still advise you to call the clinic before dropping in since some clinics may be at capacity for the day. Source: 10 months ago
There's a website that can help you set up Tele health, and find local MDs or clinics that can help - medimap here. Source: 11 months ago
Go to your doctor or to a walk-in clinic https://medimap.ca/ and bring the tick with you. More information at https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/lyme-disease/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20374655. Source: 11 months ago
In the meantime, check out other resources like Urgent Primary Care Centres, Medimap (they give wait times but not always accurate so I'd still call beforehand), travel clinics (they do regular immunizations too), sexual health clinics, screening clinics or virtual/telehealth like walkin.ca, maple etc. You can also call 811 to talk to an RN (24/7) or pharmacist (5PM to 9AM).
