Zencastr Reviews

The Best Alternatives To Zoom For Remote Meetings
Zencastr is technically a web-based podcasting service and doesn’t do video calls, but it’s excellent for conference calls. Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, Zencastr is lifting its restrictions on group size and recording limits. Free users can now host calls with unlimited users and unlimited recording time (normally only three users per call and 8 hours of recording time per...

Day One Reviews

  1. I live in Day One

I have been using Day One since it was in beta. I am a writer and digital content specialist so I do a lot of writing. Day One has grown in capability and beauty since its inception -- I use it more and more everyday.

To be frank, I tried to use EverNote but found to cumbersome and a bit much. For my mind, Day One provided the perfect palelette for me to sit down and write anything -- the tag it, or easily move it to another journal. It allows up to 10 journals, one of which I have synced to my Instagram, as I like to keep a record of what I post there.

If you are writing daily, doing Morning Pages, if you blog and need a place to work on drafts, Day One's set up is so easy. It syncs over the cloud to your phone (I'm on Apple products, recognizes voice to text smoothly and allows images to be easily drag and dropped.

The interface with tagging could be slightly more intuitive but the team is constantly doing updates and I am sure that will be worked out soon.

I love it and recommend it to anyone writing.

👍 Pros:    Intuitive|Beautiful search experience|Instagram|Easy user interface|Inexpensive|Great for writers|Great value for the money
👎 Cons:    Tagging needs to be made easier

The 8 best journal apps of 2022
Perhaps Day One's best feature is the ability to customize multiple reminders. Most other journal apps only send you one reminder during the day. But with Day One, you can get prompted to write, say, when you start the day, at lunchtime, and then at the end of your workday to keep track of your activities and thoughts throughout the day.

Day One Alternatives: 7 Best Journal Apps You Can Use
Day One Journal has adopted the subscription model for its pricing and it has made many of its users angry. I can live with a subscription model for apps like Day One which I use on a daily basis, however, I do think that the subscription is a bit over priced. • Ask HN: Can a website kill my internet connection? (WebRTC)
I have weird behavior when using https://zencastr.com/. The moment I join their videocall-room, my internet becomes super flacky, and drops entirely. My connection is via WiFi, and the WiFi stays connected and everything, but no connection to neither zencastr.com, fast.com, google.com works. The tool uses WebRTC for the call, hence I assume it might have something to do with that, but my assumption so far was... - Source: Hacker News / 18 days ago
  • I’m trying to make a podcast with my Dad remotely
Reason I am asking is because while Zoom can do what you ask, in the free version there is a limit to 45min. Instead I'd recommend https://zencastr.com/ which is designed for what you want to do. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Huge boost in downloads after switching from Buzzsprout to Zencastr?
At Zencastr we count downloads compliant with IAB standards. We are currently working on getting officially certified by a third-party and so we haven't included this in our marketing yet. If you send me the link to your show page on zencastr.com, we can take a look to see if anything weird might be going on. josh@zencastr.com. Source: about 1 year ago
