  • namecheap refuses to follow through with data deletion requests
I send an email to namecheap using yourdigitalrights.org. I provide my username and support in IN THE EMAIL, yet their stupid support keeps replying asking for my username and pin. I already provide it. This is literally refusing to comply with the law by denying my ability to see through that my data is deleted in accordance with local privacy regulations. This is absurd. I'm in California - reality is even with this stuff it's hard. I'd say maybe 20% companies you send CCPA request emails to don't know what to do, have broken forms, etc. It does work probably 80% of the time though.
