Even though it doesn't tell you most of the top results on DuckDuckGo are ads, they paid to be the top results. It also tends to filter out non politically correct information. • What happened to Yippy search?

  Yippy.com was a great alternative to the mainstream search engines, it reminded me of an improved altavista from back in the day. But yippy.com now redirects to DDG, and I can't find any word as to why. The "Try YIPPY Search" link on yippyinc.com also gets redirected.
