Method #1: For the record you should be able to login to the comcast Gateway, click on Advanced, click on port forwarding, and open the ports there but instead there is a message from comcast saying that has moved to xfinity.com/myxfi. No errors, just a page that reads: "Managing your home network settings is now easier than ever. Visit xfinity.com/myxfi to set up port forwards, among many other features and settings." I've been trying to set up a port forward through the app that is supposed to "simplify the user experience". Yet, due to an error in the app it is showing there are 0 devices available. This is untrue; 10.0.0.1 shows 6, all of which are able to connect to the internet. For the last few weeks I've been struggling with this port forwarding error, "We are having some trouble." I can't access either the webpage setup (internet.xfinity.com) OR the Xfinity app port forwarding section, as both throw the same error. Source: almost 2 years ago

Have been digging a little more in the little time I have spare at the moment - Seems DNS blacklists/redirect are not fully successfull. Even though I have redirected the domains sling.com, slingbox.com and slingmedia.com to a local "HoneyPod" on my lan it still appears that the slingbox is trying to talk to 67.148.153.136 and 67.148.153.250 on the internet which it can not get to since I shutdown all internet... Ah, got it...there is a "MANAGE ACCOUNT" link on the bottom in the PC app but all it does is launch sling.com in whatever the default browser is so that is not going to be much help...maybe something for them to add in the future. Source: over 1 year ago

Upon reboot, it will reach a screen that says "Slingbox updated" which obviously is not possible since I blocked sling.com and there was no way an update could be applied in the amount of time the reboot took. Source: over 1 year ago
