  • How to copy a file between devices?
Isn’t https://wormhole.app/ the solution here? Note I haven’t used it, it’s just often brought up here as a good solution for this class of problem. Is it surprising that the author mentions a ton of solutions but not this one? - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago
  • YouTransfer: Self-hosted file transfer and sharing solution
One of the two creators of https://wormhole.app here :) Now that we’ve shifted our company’s focus to https://socket.dev, I’d love to open source Wormhole. I’m quite proud of the code - I’ve worked on P2P and file transfer systems for so so long that I think this might be some of the best code I’ve worked on. It’s just a matter of finding the time, but I expect this will be open source eventually. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
  • YouTransfer: Self-hosted file transfer and sharing solution
It's unfortunately not FOSS, but I quite like https://wormhole.app/ - It's client side encrypted and P2P when possible. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago

  • Waves New Subscription Program
What’s everyone’s thoughts? No more updating old plugins you already own. Only way to upgrade is subscribe to their new plan. You can’t buy any licenses anymore. Seems like a good way to ax all your old customers, but would love to hear everyone’s thinking. waves.com. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Help me find the name of those app I circled.
This looks like something from waves audio (waves.com) but not sure what the software would be. Source: over 2 years ago
  • I need advice on minimizing "bleed over" of vocals into guitar mic if I'm doing a one-take type recording (vocals+guitar one mic for each at the same time)
a simple thought would be to download NS1 noise reduction plugin from waves.com for 20-30 bucks nowadays, and throw it on your guitar takes, it has literally one knob and it controls the background noise in takes, works wonders on vocals and guitars alike. Good luck! Source: about 3 years ago
  • New to this... Indian Voice, looking for feedback.
DAW: Adobe Audition Noise Reduction: NS1 from waves.com Microphone: Audio Technica AT815b Line + Gradient shotgun mic Interface: Zoom H4n (will be upgrading to a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 really soon). Source: about 3 years ago
