You can check your status (or actually register to vote) by going to vote.org and selecting your state. It's simple and takes very little time. It's so insanely transparent and obvious that legislators (on both sides of the aisle, but definitely one side more than the other these days) use 'kid safety' as an excuse to push through distracting and fascist state style policies. Related to this somewhat, I found Journalism Games.org, which has a mix of shorter games meant for use by media entities to influence opinion; or to be critical of the party lines. Bloomberg apparently made one about trying to save malls? Times of London (one of the Murdoch gems) has a few.
