  • My mail comes once a week at best. Have informed delivery and I literally get 5-8 days of mail at once. Trash gets picked up 2x a month at best. What the heck is going on?

  • Voting should be easy
You might want to sign up for Informed Delivery from the USPS. It's free. They basically send you a B&W photo from the sorter machine of mail that's coming to your address. It's a good way to know if your mail has gone missing. I use it mostly because I don't get much junk mail and it saves me time from having to walk to the mail boxes at my apartment every night. The keyword is "mail forwarding service". For US addresses, there's a form you have to sign and get notarized to authorize them to handle your mail, because... - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago

BTW: I use travelingmailbox.com - they scan your mail and will forward to you (if you choose). PS. I pay extra to get an address for my home state. Source: 10 months ago

There a lot of people who live semi-nomadic lifestyles (like full-time RVers) or just spend a lot of time away from home who get all their mail scanned and emailed to them. There are fairly affordable services for it, like this one. Source: about 1 year ago
