What's the story behind your product?

Upscale's answer

Sandeep Singh encountered challenges in the sales processes at his previous startup, InfiSecure (a B2B bot mitigation platform), which Barracuda Networks acquired in 2019. One of the primary roadblocks and learnings was sales engagement.

How do you get better at booking qualified meetings at scale? How do you make revenue a predictable process? This involves structuring sales activities and ensuring reps don’t follow random prospecting processes. Instead of staying in the dark about activities leading to conversations, sales teams need insights and intelligence. Tracking activities can drive insights to make the most out of them and increase revenue.

Most companies need help to meet the ever-increasing demand for high-volume prospecting. Since everything is manual, sales reps depend on multiple data sources (CRM, social media, and manual notes, among others). It’s time-consuming and erroneous. Upscale is working towards reversing this trend by automating and personalizing prospecting with structured sequences and actionable insights.

Following a successful exit, Sandeep started his startup's second innings with Amit Mastud with Upscale in August 2020. By December 2020, Upscale raised $700,000 in its pre-seed funding from GSF Accelerator, Java Capital, 100x Entrepreneur, and other angel investors. In July 2021, the alpha version of the platform went live. We currently work with more than 60 customers across the USA, Europe, and India.

How would you describe your primary audience?

Upscale's answer

Upscale is built for sales teams (sales development reps) in B2B SaaS companies responsible for sales prospecting resulting in qualified meetings and accelerating revenue growth.

Basecamp vs Pneumatic — From Startup Efficiency to Advanced Workflow Optimization
It’s a bold claim and by most accounts Basecamp executes on it with sufficient success. But then again, as the old saying goes, our greatest weaknesses are extensions of our greatest strengths: adopting Basecamp means that if you want to get the most bang for your buck out of it, you need to migrate everything into Basecamp. It won’t be a big deal if you’re just starting out...
