I also had the same issue. As for unsplash they opened their api for low traffic use. It's pretty nice to add a collection or pictures you like on a rotation. I've discovered though that what they call id is divided into 2 types: numerical and alpha numerical. The alpha numerical id don't really work. Anyway you should check their website Here. If you just want to be productive, you could also bring a lot of books or downloaded tutorials on a drive.
