11 Best Quicken Alternatives in 2021 (#1 is Free)
For those Dave Ramsey founds out there, EveryDollar may be a good substitute for Intuit’s Quicken. Now the first thing to point out is that EveryDollar ain’t cheap. After a 14-day trial, you’ll pay $129.99 a year. If you want to try it for just 3 months, it will cost $59.99. For this reason, it’s not high on my list. Still, I know that some folks are passionate about...

The Best Personal Finance Budget Software with Apps (In 2020)
Creating the budget is the easiest part. From there, it is up to you to input all of your transactions manually. (EveryDollar Plus, which costs $129 per year, will automatically import transactions for you.) There are both iPhone and Android apps available to make inputting transactions simple while you are out and about. One common complaint about EveryDollar is that it...

  • Seriously considering bankruptcy
I (49F) and my husband (48M) are very much in debt and it's my fault. Don't come at me saying it's his fault too, it's not. I am very hard headed and even when he tries to get me on a budget, I don't do it and I still overspend. This is MY FAULT. I want to file bankruptcy, he feels guilty and embarrassed and morally responsible for the debt, and he's right, we are. Could we buckle down, get second jobs, maybe... Source: 5 months ago
  • My husband wants to split finances because of my spending. And I’m having catastrophic thoughts.
What worked for me was for the two of us to work together on our monthly budget. (We actually have 3 budget meetings for each paydays- all of the debts and bills - Then we discuss where all of the money goes. Which savings what we want to fund etc) We wanted to be fully debt free. We use the Dave Ramsey Zero based budgeting (with tweaks because we’re not Christians) It helped us greatly. It also helped me... Source: 6 months ago
  • What about Mint alternatives that are excellent with tackling debt?
I unfortunately have a ton of debt I need to focus on. I have been using undebt.it, which is fine, but it is all manual. I need something that is automatic and will pull data to show me min payments, payments to stay on my plan, etc. Any of these mint alternatives excel at this? Source: 6 months ago

  • Strategies to mitigate impulsive spending?
Sorry, me again. I’ve just remembered a great website I used to help pay off debt quicker. It’s totally free! You basically but in all your debts and how much APR/interest you are paying and it will figure out how much to pay off each so you pay off quicker and pay less interest overall. Undebt.it. • Out of Veterinary School will be 300-400k in debt
Along the way, I've used both mint.com & everydollar.com as free budgeting platforms. The former will track all of your non-cash transactions in a single location while the former allows to-the-penny budgeting. You can pay for Everydollar to auto-track your bank transactions, but DR has some major beef with American Express, so you can't link an AmEx account to it. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Trying to figure out how to fix my situation.
So get an online app that tracks every income and expense, I myself use the free app everydollar.com but there are others too. Source: over 1 year ago
  • What to do for TSP?
You need to put together a monthly budget in order to get over the fear of "not having enough money left over at the end of the month" I use everydollar.com, its free and works great. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • I made a Budget Tracker because I'm moving out for the first time. Critique my spreadsheet and proposed budget. Feel free to make copy for yourself.
I use everydollar.com to budget as a free account. Source: about 2 years ago
  • How do you organize your finances/future plans if you don't have kids and you don't want any?
I get no commissions for this, but I've been using everydollar.com for years now to help with budgeting and I highly recommend it! Doesn't make the discipline to keep to a budget any easier, but it's helpful to see percentages of where my money is going (50% is on housing rn *sigh*). Source: about 2 years ago
