  • [Question] How Do I Write Chorda For A Song Cover
I'm currently trying to find tutorials on how to find the right chords for certain songs and all I land on are a bunch of chord songwriting tutorials (which are quite useful, but aren't necessarily what I'm directly looking for). The chords, even the sheet music, aren't publicly available nor has someone made a guide for them on websites like Ultimate Guitar. Someone could tell me to spend all day and night... • I want to become a doom/stoner metal guitarist, what exactly should I learn?
Pick 2 or 3 doom songs you love that are nice and slow and easy and look up the tabs on ultimate-guitar.com. Source: 10 months ago
  • Need help buying a new budget guitar!
I bought my first guitar around 18 months ago, because I didn't have any hobbies and playing a musical instrument seemed like a good start, since I absolutely love the sound of the guitar and bass in about every song I hear, primarily in all songs by my favorite bands Muse and Royal Blood. Now, I have already accepted that I won't be the next Matthew Bellamy... But after playing the guitar for the first time 18... Source: 10 months ago

  • [QUESTION] I finished memorising all the fretboard notes and I know all the minor scale box patterns, what do you believe would be the next best theory steps? I like playing metal if that helps.
I'd suggest playing along with some songs/bands that get you going. My fav is Rammstein, which is fairly simple drop tuning rhythm, but damn if it isn't fun to jam with. songsterr.com is a great resource for tabs. Source: 11 months ago
  • The 4th measure seems wrong unless I'm missing something. The song just doesn't sound like that. Mistake in the book or, again, am I missing something?
My honest advice? Watch the pros play it, watch covers and gather what everyone is doing, see if what you hear by ear on the record matches what the tabs are showing you, and give songsterr.com a shot. Source: about 1 year ago
