Tuta Mail is the secure email provider with automatic encryption built in. It focuses on security, privacy and open source. Tuta Mail is known as the best ProtonMail alternative as it is the largest encrypted email service in the European Union. German data protection laws which are even better than [Swiss privacy laws]({https://tuta.com/blog/swiss-privacy-is-an-illusion}) make Tuta a great contender in the field of secure communications.

  • Please move away from Amazon for Tuta's Domain Name System
A look at tuta.com and tutanota.com demonstrates that Tuta is using an Amazon Start of Authority (SOA) DNS record and 4 corresponding Amazon Name Server (NS) DNS records. Source: 5 months ago
  • Is there a place to suggest software you'd like to be on the AUR? If not, let it be here!
I've moved on to Ferdium by the way via the ferdium-electron AUR package. I also use Tuta, Skiff, Google Messages and YouTube Music with it. Source: 5 months ago
  • Can't access new website
Unfortunately, since you launched the new tuta.com website, I can't access anymore from China, unless I have a VPN service. Source: 5 months ago

  • Will DNS server's geolocation = my geolocation on any services?
So...I registered an account on a website that is only available in certain countries using VPN. And I checked both https://ipleak.net and https://dnsleaktest.com , both websites said I'm connecting from the country I select to. Source: 6 months ago
  • Odd DNS behavior
This seems to work, except when it doesn't. If I run an extended test at dnsleaktest.com from my laptop, it shows I'm only using NextDNS. But if I run it from my iPad I get a bunch of IPv4 AT&T DNS servers returned. I have verified that my iPad is configured to only use the RB5009 as its DNS server. Can anyone tell me why or how it might be picking up all these other DNS servers? Source: 7 months ago
  • Xiaomi phones wifi connected but no internet, but other devices have internet (thru wireguard gateway). Why?
On my Windows PC and my ios devices, if I connect them to the separate wifi, they have internet access through such gateway (checking it with dnsleak.com and dnsleaktest.com ); but my two Android phones (Xiaomi Poco F1 and Mi10T pro), on the same wifi connection have no internet access. Strange. I did check their ip address, dns address, they all use the same subnet and same dns address as on my Windows and iOS... Source: 7 months ago
  • OpenVPN for routing only specific streaming app Android TV
Route dnsleaktest.com 255.255.255.255 I suspect that there is some DNS leakage which is giving my location away to the streaming service. Is there some way to stop the leakage but still have specific URLs that should only use vpn? Source: 8 months ago
