I have just sent out my applications to the grad students from myrental.com. I chose my myrental.com simply because I see that it costs a little less than mysmartmove.com . I'll type slow... mysmartmove.com You create an account, when applicants give you name and email, you fill out that info on the website. The applicant pays the fee, enters their SSAN and verified their ID. Then, you get a report on their pay, credit and criminal history based on TransUnion searching them. You never see their SSAN. There is open source software that one can use for the main flows and forms: https://sourceforge.net/projects/opentaxsolver/ It seems to work and will produce PDF of the forms with data filled in for one. I appreciated it. It will also handle some of the states.
