You know, dual-booting is a handy thing to do to ensure you'll get everything working with minimal effort. I don't personally need it, but I can see why people would, and maybe I will in the future (although I'd rather use a VM). IMO, Linux makes for a nicer workstation though, both Memsource and Cafetran Espresso are noticeably faster there, and some extra tools are just simpler to install and use, like... If you're on Windows, LF Aligner is the one that worked the best for me, by far. You just have to follow the instructions: I convert the source docs to plain text (.txt), UTF-8 encoding, and make sure there are no spaces or special characters in your file names. When I had to align a very large document (Quebec's Civil Code) I tried wordast online, and another free online tool, and LF Aligner was the only one... Source: over 2 years ago
