While Asana is a robust task management and project planning tool, in my experience, it falls slightly short when compared to Trello, particularly in terms of user-friendliness and simplicity. Asana offers a variety of features such as multiple project views (list, board, timeline, calendar), custom fields, and reporting tools, which can be highly beneficial for complex project management. However, I found that the learning curve can be steep, especially for team members not familiar with this type of software. The interface, while feature-rich, can feel a bit cluttered and overwhelming for new users. On the other hand, Trello shines in its simplicity and straightforward design. The visual card and board system is intuitive and easy to grasp, making it a more accessible tool for team members of varying tech proficiency levels. Additionally, Trello's user interface is cleaner and more streamlined, which contributes to an overall more enjoyable user experience.
In terms of collaboration, both tools provide good collaborative features like commenting, tagging, and task assignment. However, I appreciate Trello's flexibility with its Power-Ups, allowing integration with a wide array of apps which enhances its functionality. In conclusion, while Asana is a powerful tool with extensive features, I prefer Trello for its ease of use, simplicity, and intuitive design. However, I do see the value of Asana for larger teams or more complex projects.
Asana is a popular project management tool that has a lot to offer. It is fast and versatile, making it easy for individuals and teams to collaborate and get things done. The interface is clean and user-friendly, and there are plenty of features to help you organise and track your projects.
However, while Asana is a good tool, it is not the best on the market. One of its main weaknesses is its lack of advanced reporting and analysis capabilities. It can be challenging to get a comprehensive view of your projects and how they are progressing, especially if you have a large number of them.
Another issue is the cost. Asana can be expensive for teams with a lot of members, especially when compared to other project management tools that offer similar features at a lower price point.
Asana is a very representative app for the work environment I'm a part of with team members and users it's stellar for: β’ To manage it on the web and portable devices β’ With option and manageability on the web β’ To set up projects and invite team members. β’ The projects have a roadmap to know the displacement of each activity. β’ Tasks can contain subtasks to keep track of work β’ Allows granting tasks, define expiration periods. β’ Effective and useful for adding files, making comments, and tags.

I came across this project after seeing a mod for the game Balatro [1] that used the artwork from the original Solitaire sourced from this repo. The README was so wholesome I thought. The developer obviously put a lot of care and attention into creating something they're proud of and hoped others would enjoy. I hope the person who created this notices the influx of attention its now getting and gets a kick out of... - Source: Hacker News / about 2 months ago
Thank you, we've done a little digging and found a way to force Steam to download the depot. We've published a guide here[1] and are currently waiting for a friend with a Mac to test it. I spent countless hours playing the DF2 demo that came on one of the computer magazine CDs in India (PC Quest I think). My favourite FPS by a long shot :) Here's a steam guide to upgrade to a fan made engine and really improve the graphics: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1778723490 Think it should work on the GOG version too. - Source: Hacker News / 2 months ago
Does it actually work though? Ironically my experience is that windows api + proton are a more stable target than anything linux native. Even valve doesn't get it always right when shipping linux versions of their own games. For most teams who don't have the option to subscribe to popular Project Management apps like JIRA, Asana, ClickUp, or Monday, you can make use of GitHub's issue management system to track the bugs in your application. - Source: dev.to / 9 months ago
Asana is the gold standard when it comes to a project management tool, allowing teams to organize tasks, track progress, and keep everyone on the same page. With a focus on visual task management, Asana enables you to map out all your projects in customizable boards, lists, or timeline views, with deadlines and dependencies all there to see. Not only that, but teams can extend Asana's functionality even further by... - Source: dev.to / 10 months ago
