  • You Win or You Learn
The problem with social media is that it has to get a large userbase, and it's much, much harder to convince someone to pay than it is to use your free service. Especially if your service is social media. Twitter seems to be trying to get people to pay, and it isn't going well for them. No, in today's world in order to make a "profitable" social media, you have to get people to pay through other means. Like... - Source: Hacker News / 7 months ago
  • The Reddit App War Is Getting Messy
It's a nice glossy magazine full of eye candy. Fun if you have like 3-4 hours to kill at an airport coffee shop. But otherwise, nah.. Age of the internet, often as not I'm looking at freshnews.org, and maybe diving into arstechnica.com, tomshardware.com, or one of the other old school ones like theregister.com for my serious tech news. • Is it possible to exclude multiple entries?
Okay let's start with my motherboard Msi meg z690i unify How many times msi.com , tomshardware, hardwareluxx, price comparison websites (multiple entries, same name) , amazon you see in the results? Source: about 1 year ago

FYI the 13900K is notorious for being a very difficult CPU to cool When running at full throttle. Most AIO coolers cant handle the thermal dissipation requirements of this processor. The largest 360 and 420s can do it though. Suggest you go to tomshardware.com and look at their AIO cooler reviews to give you info on thermals and noise profiles of different coolers. • SSD Upgrade/Expansion on Dell XPS 15 (9520)
The best way to learn about how they behave is to read reviews on different SSDs. A site like tomshardware.com regularly reviews SSDs and compares them to other models so you can get a really good idea how they behave. They use various testing methods which mimic the use of the SSD in things like booting, gaming, and as large storage drives. With that data, you can work out whether the SSD is suitable for you. • What's the hate with Norton?
According to AV websites (av-test.org and av-comparatives.org), both show Norton as being one of the top recommended antivirus software suites you can purchase right now. I can understand if you don't like Norton for its past, knowing Norton used to bog down system resources and sometimes made the computer run slower, but this was years ago like 2010 the last time I can remember Norton slowing down my PC lol... • Which of the free options would be best for Windows 11? I'm only allowed to choose from the attached list.
So, the ONLY anti-virus resource I always go to (And, everybody else should go to) is av-comparatives.org. Source: 12 months ago
  • Norton 360
Norton has a good block rate on av-comparatives.org in the real-world tests. It is pretty consistent. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Hello what is the best antivirus to download I currently have avast
I don't understand why you're getting downvoted for this. Sites like av-test.org and av-comparatives.org are managed by independent research organizations. They use objective testing criteria to evaluate commercial products, which is a far more reliable way of getting useful information than, "well, my experience is..." or "I read this one thing about x product..." Sure, people have different priorities when it... Source: almost 2 years ago
  • I am a cybersec major. My books and professors tell me Windows Defender is no good and I need a good anti-malware, but online I see people claiming Defender is fine. Who should I listen to, the professionals or random Internet people?
Check out av-comparatives.org, they're doing about the best that can be done to compare anti-virus software, their most recent test results are here:. Source: over 2 years ago
