Oh and for the file size: compressing is usually better than resizing. And your image is a PNG which is much bigger in size than a JPG and you barely notice the difference. You can use https://tinyjpg.com/ or any proper image editor for good compression or even in Wonderdraft, you can (for sharing on Reddit) better export it as a JPG and at 80% or so. I like dithered images and appreciate the author's post. If you don't, but you want your webpages to load fast, look into WebP and AVIF images. Load them opportunistically using the html5 PICTURE tag - no JS required and no worry about old browsers not supporting new formats. Even plain lossless encoding of legacy formats goes a long way.
