As far as personifying the brand, explore design systems to get a feel of how the same components are styled in different brands. When designing, generate lots of alternatives and compare them against the brand's aspects. Which feels as serious as the company aims to communicate itself (including not being serious at all)? And if you don't know what style to go for, they offer different templates that you can use.
